NU8000 is a better TV if you care about the HDR gaming, VRR, HDR movies, and deep blacks, it's gonna be a better choice for dark rooms, it's bright enough for daylight viewing too.
The only good thing about this particular LG model are good viewing angles and more accurate colors since it's IPS panel, it will be good for sports, TV shows and SDR content, but again, lack of good contrast ratio will suck. I would go with Samsung NU.

edit:
I was trying to help the OP to make a better decision, a simple comparison, in other words. I am well aware of the price differences between the two, you get what you pay for, no hate to LG TVs, just because something is cheap, it should not mean is a better value IMO.

NU8000 is double the price for this tv, so not really an alternative: https://www.costco.com/Samsung-75...12573.html

I was helping OP to make a decision, he asked which one is better. You get what you pay for anyways.

TU for honest opinion when asked... TU for informing not Apple to Apple comparison. Both are very helpful.

No problem, TV buying can be nuts, so many models and choices, confusing as hell. Spent last 6 months shopping for a new TV, learned a lot tbh.

Most if not all Samsung's are VA panels. Great blacks, bad viewing angles

we know you're just thirsty for thumbs up and rep but it's twice the price right now
So are you lol, there must be reason why you comment, that what makes the SD great place to save $$$ and have good discussions, it's all about the helping each other, talking facts, not Apple better than Android or LG better than Samsung, OLED vs QLED...etc, just facts. Just trying to help the fellow SD member, that's all, I don't mind reps or thumbs up, it adds more credibility, it helps to filter out the SPAM.

We have had many deals for NU series for the past few weeks and during the Black Friday, you don't have to pay MSRP, just wait for more deals, Christmas and Super Bowl is the great time to shop for TVs as well.

True

Which is why the Samsung Q9 is a much better TV than the NU8000
