I've been waiting for a deal on one of these and looking around. It basically has the same specs as the hd60s, which is what most streamers and youtubers are using. This pro version is an internal card instead. It requires an open pcie slot in your pc. It offers a higher bitrate than the hd60s though.

Record and stream 1080p gameplay at 60fps with a 60mbps bitrate.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Managed to grab one of these on ebay for $104 a year and a half ago (open box). As far as the product goes, the only thing iIve had trouble capturing is switch, but that is typically rare and pretty easy to fix (just a console restart while the hdmi out is plugged into the card). This product provides pretty solid 1080p @ 60fps capturing and if you disable input buffering in OBS there is ZERO lag from capture to display, which is good for no input lag gaming if you decide to play through the captured video window instead of another display device. It also has hdmi pass-thru if needed. Seems like a pretty solid price for amazon worry free returns etc.

Noob question... this is strictly for gamers so it doesn't have a tuner to record OTA broadcasts right?

A lot of Ryzen AM4 boards PCIe x4 lane don't run off of the CPU. Therefore, you will have to run this on the x16 slot rather than the x4 slot which it can physically fit.

This is very tempting. Is this a very good deal? I need a way to get HDMI into my PC. Wish there wasn't $8 in tax.

To record HDMI content. Also was considering looping the output from the computer back into the capture card, that way I can play blurays (need to select menus) over remote desktop, so I can find the right video to rip. Do to hdcp, currently the players window gets blacked out. Heaven forbid I have to use my off time to sort my movies.

Well I bought this a bit before Black Friday, not expecting it to go on sale, and I have to say this is a steal. I am returning the one I have now (as it is still within that return time period) and picking up on the offer. I have used it and it works great, the biggest thing is putting it in the correct slot when installing.

This won't net you a huge boost in performance if you're capturing on the same computer as you're generating content.

However, if you're connecting any other separate source into this card (console, 2nd PC, etc.) and want to stream that out and don't currently have a beefy CPU or GPU, this may assist in delivering better quality to a live stream and recordings.

If you already have a beefy CPU or GPU and are capturing a separate source, you may want to try software encoding with your CPU or hardware encoding with your GPU.

You'd be amazed at how good the quality can be!

I game & stream with a single-PC setup using an 1800X/VEGA64 and deliver great 720p@60FPS quality at about 6000KB/s.

Throwing this in my setup wouldn't give me any quality increase, because my GPU would still be doing all the encoding work and cannot game & stream at those levels.

That's where a 2nd PC comes in and this is a great deal for that, OR capturing any other separate source!
