for all of us that just purchased this during the black friday event for $999 this can be price matched.

It's a very easy process and is all done online. NO need to call or go into the store.

I have never owned/seen a bad Lenovo anything. 4 cheap laptops, 2 windows tablets, 2 yogas, 3 thinkpads, 2 gaming laptops. (edge and legion). This volume would seem to me outside the realm of anecdotal.

HP and Asus/Alienware on the other hand... yikes. Driver issues galore, questionable construction methods and materials, and in the case of HP, abysmal support intentionally wasting tons of time to burn up warranty period instead of fixing known issues.

Why do you think businesses almost exclusively buy thinkpads? At every price point, dirt to designer, quality is evident so I really don't know what limited experience your point of view is coming from. Stinks that you'd avoid the best consumer-grade electronics company but worse that you'd spread misinformation when it seems like many other companies churn out high-priced garbage they refuse to support.

It's a solid upgrade from their Y520 laptop. Doesn't have the red gaming look. Better color accuracy with the display. Overall better build quality (less flex).

Costco said they will credit the difference once the shipping confirmation is generated. They asked me to reach out to them once I receive the shipping confirmation Smilie

what is the memory size? has SSD?
Read above description.... 16gb ram 256gb nvme

so they charge you an extra $100 to give you 8gb more ram and a 1TB spinner HDD compared to the BF deal?

I mean it's not out there more expensive but i would rather just get only the 8gb more ram for total price of $900 and skip the 1TB spinner HD?
