These are Klipsch's newest entry level home theater speakers, so there aren't a ton of reviews out there. Klipsch's entry level speakers have been consistently solid, though, so this is a nice entry point at a good price. I'd go with the $949 one though, it's a nice, complete package. I don't see why you'd pay for upfiring speakers you can't use with the receiver in the other one.

Excellent package, sell the receiver and buy a 7.2 or 9.2 receiver, add additional sub! Home theater, and music heaven!

Need some input... I have a theater room in my basement and almost done with the remodel. Busy buying speakers for it, I have the Klipsch RC-62 II center (bought a while ago) and just got the RB-61 II for rears. Thinking about returning the rears and just getting one of these setups since I'm having a tough time getting the RF-82 II and then need to decide on a sub. Is the setup I'm building much better than one of these? Not sure what I'll do with the center I already have though... too late to return it.

EDIT: Never mind! Just went to frys and they let me reserve two rf82s for $199 each, they said they should be getting in a large shipment soon. Stoked!

Your set up is a grade above this one. If you're having trouble completing your current lineup, you can look at speakers in the RP line to go with with your current ones. They share the cerametallic drivers, so will match well. Deals are pretty frequent.

Thanks! I just picked up the RB-61 II's, they are HUGE! Much bigger than I was expecting... What do people use to mount these suckers?

Sell the receiver to me. I missed out the $120 deal on RX-V485BL from several weeks ago.

I'm almost in the same boat, just picked up the rf82ii set ($199 each) and the surround set rb61ii ($99 each). Also the center rc64ii (168)

Total at $768 before taxes. Next are two elevation speakers and the sub from SVS which will be a total of $700. I am sure this will be amazing , tho $500 for a sub , do I need it? That second $700 is pressuring me

I don't need the rear speakers. How much will it be if I buy the second deal each item separate (maybe getting a new receiver)?
