Sceptre is a shitty tv brand I bought one two years ago and it only lasted 5 months panel went bad and company would not fix it. 99.00 at the time though. Tcl is way better. I would never buy from them again. Their customer service guy told me it was my fault tv went out and Walmart would not make it right also. Beware this company is no good.

My first was $479.99, Black Friday Best Buy 2006, Westinghouse 720p LMAO Although I did buy it with $200 worth of "Best Buy Bucks" from the McDonald's Monopoly game that year.

I've had a 32" Sceptre for well over a year now. Functions flawlessly and has a good picture to boot. Might pick this up for a garage TV.

I got mine in 2011 (Samsung) as a slickdeal - still have it.

Who is still ok with 720p? This might be OK to put in your kid's room or something...

Expect picture to be good enough and sound to be atrocious.

Same as the Komodo but better than the Polaroid with decent sound and horrendous picture.

Thanks OP. Grabbed one for a spare bedroom. Perfect for visiting family over the holidays and as an extra tv for kids to hook up a video game unit to.

I have this TV and the sound isn't great, and there is no backlight adjustment but it really isn't a bad TV. I think normal price is $89.

Sure, it's better than a kick in the butt, but that doesn't make it good.

But really, I see name brand tvs with equal specs for $50 or less on my local Craigslist often.
