The GTX 1050 2GB is what hurts this.
For similar price, 1050 Ti 4GB laptops frequently appear, and are actually powerful enough to game with, especially VR, which the 1050 2GB will mostly fail at. Laptop values, the 1050 is typically going for around $100 less than 1050 Ti. The worst feeling is when you get a game for your shiny new laptop, only to discover that it is not powerful enough to run it properly.

What do you guys think is the better computer? This Lenovo or the HP Pavilion x360 15.6" 2-in-1 Laptop (natural silver, 15-cr0091ms) for $499 from https://slickdeals.net/f/12326704-hp-pavilion-x360-2-in-1-laptop-intel-core-i5-8250u-15-6-1080p-ips-touchscreen-8gb-ddr4-128gb-ssd-type-c-win-10-499-free-shipping-microsoft-store?t=12326704

Hmm, for me this is almost the perfect PC. Fast processor, decent ram, video card, SSD for win 10 my editing software and videos I am editing, HD for permanent storage. I surf, me office and video edit. I can't find a better deal than this. Gaming is a while different world though. I don't do that at all so the video card is not a big deal.

The MSI is a gaming laptop. It has a dedicate graphic card. It is a really basic thing you should you before buying a laptop.

Your choice would really come down to use and preference. The HP has touch screen, but the Lenovo has a bigger SSD. Other than those differences, the 2 are spec'd nearly identically. I personally don't trust Lenovo, but some people swear by them

I missed that deal from Microsoft, damn, I would have bought that one for sure. I'm returning a Lenovo I just received - completely different model than the one listed here. My search continues!

Idk but i just hate dealing with Newegg on returns, restocking fees, shipping back fees, all theses fees. Just imagine if you get one that is a lemon.

I think his point is that after rebate it is $549 not $529

Nice deal on the MSI, and I'd pull the trigger right now if it wasn't for the keyboard issues.I think I'm too anal to have a dedicated numpad and I'd miss the Home and End keys; plus everyone reports the spacebar doesn't register well, so I think this would end up driving me crazy. I'm not a gamer but am looking for something for photo editing and this looks like it has plenty of power. Most of the time I'd be connected to external mouse/keyboard/monitors anyway, so I still may end up getting it.
