Fwiw a price of $530-550 is fairly common for this, I just flew this trip on Asiana for $536. If you choose a leg with a long layover in Seoul you have time to go to a Jimjilbang, eat some great food, and see some palace grounds.

It's not low price for a RT ticket to HKG and it's not a direct flight. I'll pass.

Asiana airlines is great. Their planes are clean and they offer you free toothbrushes etc on the flight. They always have a layover in Korea but they offer free tours from the airport. Last time I did a tour I visited a temple and I did another tour of downtown Seoul. The Seoul tour offered a lunch that you have to pay for but its only around $5 and is very good.

Free tour and cheap food might make this worthwhile. Thanks for the info.Applause
