I just got this gimbal today from last weeks sale price of $249.99. This a slightly better deal with the included gift card if you plan on shopping at B&H.

Is this the one the one you can set it to focus on 1 person and it follows them? Say if i was recording my child playing soccer?

I am fairly new to the photography world and purchased a Sony A7II recently and have been interested in a gimbal such as this. Would anyone recommend this particular model or have any other recommendations for something reasonable in price and user interface for a noob like myself?

Thanks in advance!

There's not really much of a user interface for something like this. You just put the camera on, balance and let the gimbal do the rest.

Once you get familiar with the movements, you can always use the app to tweak for your desired shots.

It's not really something needed for photography but you can certainly use it in certain applications. It even includes a cable for the Sony cameras to be able to trigger the shutter from the handles.

This is the cheapest you'll see this weight/class of gimbal around this time frame. Most are in the upper 450-600 range. They're probably trying to clear stock for the fancier gimbals for next year, but you can't go wrong with this deal.

With this being said, if you're just getting into photography, I'd invest more in a more robust tripod than a gimbal, or maybe extra batteries and accessories for your camera.

Let me know what you're using it with and your thoughts on the gimbal. Would love to know your opinion good or bad.

Looks like they bumped up the price by $10.00 and it's now $269.00 with the $25.00 Gift Card. Unfortunately, I was on the fence and didn't get in on the original deal... it was such a good price for a high quality gimbal, but at the same time I didn't really need a gimbal since I don't do much video work.
