Hi all,
My November statement just hit, and my rewards amount was much less than I was expecting. After emailing customer service, I received this response. Seems like I have even less reason to use Discover now. I have the plain Cash Back Discover card--not sure if any other lines of their cards are affected. Edit: looking back at my statement history, the same happened last year--sorry if this is old news.

Thank you for asking about how our Cashback Bonus program works. I am happy to assist you today!

You automatically earn Cashback Bonus by using your Discover card for all your purchases. During each anniversary year, you earn Cashback Bonus at the following tier levels:

0.25% (.0025), if the purchase is part of your first $3,000 in total annual purchases.
1.00% (.01), if the purchase is part of your total annual purchases above $3,000.
All purchases made at select warehouse clubs, wholesale distributors, discount stores, and their affiliates will receive 0.25%.

Your Cashback Bonus is added to your Discover account once a month at the end of each billing cycle (when your statements are processed).

Your account anniversary month is November and as of your December statement, you have spent $xxxxx toward the $3,000 tier to earn 1%.

Check what version of the Discover card you have. That seems like terms from a very old card imo and frankly not worth owning these days. The Discover IT Cash back should give you 1% on all purchases which is doubled for a year and has 5% rotating bonus categories. Maybe call up and see if they can switch you for free.

Agreed with ^. I have the IT card, and not tiered at all.

You have the old Discover More card -- just have them convert it to Discover It card: https://www.discover.com/credit-c...-card.html

Its been like this for a while. I converted my More to IT couple years ago and when I spoke with CSR, she gave me 1 year of CB match, which was a nice bonus.
