Good price if you're in need of a liquid cooling system; no rebates needed. Compatible w/ select Intel/AMD processors. Judging from the product image, you may not receive the 2018 model (YMMV). Offer valid while promotion last - Discombobulated

This is the older version without LEDs but lowest I have seen without rebates. it's also on Google Express if anyone have coupons there.

I actually just bought this a few minutes before this post was made for new PC build. Does this version not work on the LGA 1151 chips? I need a cooler for the i7-8700K.

EDIT: From Corsairs website it looks like it will work with all 115X chips: LINK [corsair.com]

this works on 1151, I have it on my 8700k. However I have to say I am not impressed by the cooling on the 8700k since the 8700k is a pretty hot chip.

Dang, sad to hear that. I really liked that this cooler fits nicely into the Cooler Master Elite 130 case. Im a pretty big fan of that case since its about as small as you can go and still be able to use a full sized video card and power supply along with a 5.25" drive and several internal SSD/HDDs.

It will technically work, but you aren't going to get much of a performance gain unless you are willing to push unsafe voltages to your CPU.

I've been looking at a lot of info on watercooling the 2700x lately, and it seems like you only get about a 3% benefit over the stock cooler, BUT it would be much quieter.

So the point of my story is: Buy it for the quiet, not the performance.

I have it on my 8700K, i'll get a new cooler when I decide to OC but right now I have no issues with base clocks (52C gaming with my 1080 TI).

Im thinking Ill roll the same for now. As time goes on and I maybe feel I need more power Ill swap out the case and cooler for something larger that will allow me to use a bigger/better cooler to OC.

How do these perform versus the classic Cooler Master 212?
