This is a great combo. I'd be all over this if I didn't already have three AV setups.

Klipsch owns Jamo. Very similar products marketed to different slices of the pie.

The towers, and Atmos speakers are good. The center channel is lacking deep base. I'd either turn on the left, center, right, or ignore the center. I guess it depends on size of room as well...the tower speakers are about monitor audio bronze 5 worthy, with Jamo better on the bass, and monitor audio on the trebel. I haven't used the sub, so I can't comment on that. I do have the same receiver.

I had the 606 setup from years back. Ended up selling them the 5.1 set for $200 (no sub).
I ended up going with the second gen AJ pioneer speakers.
But now it's a different company, (sort of) and a couple/few generations ahead.
Mine were on sale for $400, so I suspect that these at the $1300 going price, are probably going to compete in that market segment.

center channel is large. though I guess those interested probably don't care if they looking at towers anyway.

tried out the 83 center, liked it just too big for my setup and the smaller 81 center is a better match for the bookshelf S 803 speakers I use in my LRC setup.

Great set!

Theory: the name Jamo came about when Klipsch execs were doing shots of Jameson at a bar. Someone ordered 6 shots of "Jamo" and... a sub brand was born!

JAMO has been known for the quality of their tweetersand crossover tuning they use. I have JAMO E series towers that I will never part with. They don't have the best bass but the mids/highs are stunning.

This set includes the S83 center, which is the larger center that has the same size woofers as the towers. The S81 center is the weaker, smaller one, but that's not the one included in this set. You don't expect deep bass from a center channel, particularly when you are using a subwoofer in the system. BTW, a "base" is something you steal in baseball...lol. Sorry, couldn't help myself. laugh out loud

This set together does save you a little money over current prices, but it's not a huge savings. I would rather see a set that doesn't include a subwoofer, since the PL-200 II isn't a great sub. I'm not a big fan of Denon, but that's just my personal preference.

And Audiovox bought Klipsch, so both Klipsch and Jamo are divisions of parent company Audiovox.

Where did you come up with that theory? It's pronounced "Yamo." Were they calling it Yameson? LMAO

Yeah, I know the proper spelling of bass vs. base Smilie

However the smaller center is what I have tried in my house. I ended up returning the center, and using the floor standers for center sound. I disagree that the sub takes full control of the bass, you need high, lows, and kids in the center as that's the focal point of any home theatre system.
