For a small fee per day, all public transportation covered. Like every museum free. Boat tours free. Zoo free. And the list goes on and on. I used it and saved just an insane amount of money. If something isn't interesting, just leave and go to the next place...

The Danish have a word that they use frequently in the winter - hygge - which roughly translates to "coziness." It describes the ritual of staying inside, having hot drinks next to the fire with family and friends, and generally avoiding the frigid cold air outside. As a tourist, you should take this to mean that this is not a great season to be sightseeing. The residents come out of hibernation and start enjoying festivals and dining al fresco galore starting in May when temperatures get into the 60s (15-20C) and then return to their state of hygge by October. July and August, the warmest months, will have the highest hotel and airfare prices.

Copenhagen is expensive FYI. They do have a Copenhagen Card which is a must for any slickdealer traveling there, trust me.

Beautiful place, very nice people, seemed very safe.

Denmark in winter.. I already miss the sun enough being from the Carolinas. That price to mainland europe isn't bad if you're traveling for a while though.

You'll be hard pressed to find enough elevation difference for that. Kiteboarding on the other hand is definitely an option.
