Does it have restrictions for buying devices from best buy , for example?

BYOD is Bring Your Own Device, so no restrictions other than being compatible on the Sprint Network and you own the device.

Check your phone eligibility here: https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...print.html

If you've had trouble establishing a Sprint account the first time around (say, thin credit history), there is no better plan to have than this after your 1 year free expires. Don't risk closing your account and not being approved again to come back

Just so you know, BYO phone and port in existing number from Sprint's competitors (e.g. AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and etc). If you try to become new customer with new phone number it WILL NOT WORK. I even called to talk to a representative; she tried to sell me the $60.00/month plan instead. Who would be d**b enough to take this $60.00/month deal? LMAO Some people from Sprint Community forum even call this too good to be true Sprint deal a scam. EEK!
