I have this and would recommend people go with LG instead. No Dolby vision. No wifi and Samsung has stopped putting firmware for download to USB so you have to connect to a wired connection to download firmware. More importantly it has a weird bug reported by many customer reviews where Bluray/UHD movies will show as being very dark. For me it goes away when I reset the resolution but is back again after restart.

Note this one I don't think has WiFi. It has a wired connection.

Yes, you are right, I check before "place order". Now-a-day no wifi what are they thinking, most TV has "smart" feature, but it does not matter.

Woah... thanks for the heads up. Don't think the money saved here is worthwhile with all the headaches involved. Will gladly spend a few bucks more to have stuff work when i need it to work.

It looks like this was a BF Special that came out last year, so they had to cut some corners.

My TV is wired anyway so, it's no hassle to plug this in occasionally for updates.

I missed out on all the BF deals for 4K Blu ray players, so for $75 and $10 back in Kohls cash, I'll give it a shot.

Ehh.....this is for mom and her new 49" QLED so I'm going to take the chance. Since she has the Samsung TV I'm hoping they will play nice together and won't have those issues. This was $120ish for BF so this is definitely better. I'll take the chance of the headaches because she isn't going to need to consistently update it. Also, I did a web chat with Samsung last month and they were still doing the USB updates so, did that recently change?

Don't forget about using https://www.cashbackmonitor.com/ to help get a little cash back or get miles. I'm getting 224 miles off the deal. Not a lot true, but hell, they eventually add up. In 10 years I can fly 500 miles for free.
