Hi everybody...

Mine is throttling pretty bad even after I updated the bios and set max processor state to either 99% or 100%.

Why are they still selling 768 crap. Not even 1080??

If it had a touch screen instead of DVD drive, I would be set

I would imagine fairly easy if you've done it before.

This beats the Black Friday price by $50, and you don't even have to go to the store to pick it up to get the best price. Front page material, nice find OP!

I'm curious -- for those who install SSD's on these things -- unless you get a 1TB SSD drive, how do you transfer windows to a smaller drive? Is there a reliable/cheap/free/easy way to do that?

It's a lot more inconvenient than it used to be. Almost a half teardown. It's doable. Just keep your screws organized. And consider installing the original HD in a DVD caddy while you're in there. Be advised, you won't get normal HD speeds on that one, but the extra space on top of the SSD is worth it.

I wonder how long this thing would last as an HTPC, if upgraded with an SD? Won't be moved around much, but I don't know about the plastic build quality.

With these specs, $300 is too much; it's easy to see why they needed to drop the price further to move these units.

Since not all of the 1tb Drive is being used, you should be able to clone it to a smaller drive. Your best bet though would be not to clone the drive, but rather install a fresh copy of windows on the new SSD.
