Teflon interior, best to avoid.

The burden of proof is on the person claiming that teflon is hazardous to your health...
It's been used for cookware for decades. Nobody in their right mind would trust a forum comment with zero evidence without googling it.

Which... a quick google will tell you modern teflon is free of any unhealthy chemicals, and is safe up to 570 degrees. Pressure cookers don't even get close to 570 degrees. So the logical conclusion is that it's safe.

Now, if you please, could you provide us with the source(s) you're using to formulate your opinion that teflon is 'best to avoid'?

My logic and personal proof over many years of cooking is that Teflon coating scratches up over time and peels. It's used on inferior cheaper pots, pans, and cookware because it's less expensive to produce than a good stainless steel. Chefs do not use Teflon for a reason. Stainless steel pots, pans and cookware last far longer and the user will not end up eating the coating over time.

I think its worth an extra $15 (cheaper than a replacement pot) to get one with stainless that will last and gets great reviews.

Good product. Was offered at this price before BUT they gave a free Google Home style insignia black clock speaker with it. I gifted the cooker and kept the speaker. Good solid cooker.
Only piece I am not sure is the cooking tub. On an Instant Pot... its steal. Can someone comment please? Thx!

I bought 8 qt instant pot duo for $20 more than this. Worth keeping it as opposed to getting this guy?

Started using the one from Khol's yesterday and made a Chicken Taco Rice bowl. Super happy about it only took about 15 mins to cook under high pressure. Definately recomment. Not sure how the Insignia would be but I bought the 6qt duo instant for $60 with $10 Kolh's cash.

Target via Google Express. Was $79 and used the 30% coupon for linking Target account to your Google Express account. Meant $20 more...doh. $60 for the IP.

I've been using one of the 6-Quart ones since last winter and it's been working great. I haven't had any problems at all with it.

The one I bought came with a teflon pot. Best Buy does sell both teflon and stainless steel pots for them on their site. I think it's $20 for the steel and $15 for the teflon one. I bought a stainless steel one, it's nice to have two pots.

Is that according to your ISO 17025 lab using ICP-MS technology?
