As indicated in the title, this selling promo is by invitation only. Qualified eBay sellers will incur a maximum of $10 final value fee for each of the first 10 items listed during the promo period that are sold for $100 or more during the promo period (my listing promo period is December 6-10; may vary for each user).

Check the link below to see if you qualify:

Additional info from eBay:

Please note: Invited sellers must activate the Promotion by selecting "Activate offer" from within the invitation email, the Promotion landing page, or from within the Promotional Offers module within My eBay. Items listed prior to a seller activating the Promotion will not be eligible for the Promotion.

What is the Promotion?

Invited sellers ("Sellers") who activate the offer, and pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein, list during the Promotion Period, will pay maximum final value fees of $10 per item for the first ten items that sell for $100 or more ("Promotion").

Eligible listings for the Promotion include auction-style, auction-style with the Buy It Now feature added, or fixed price formats (including Good 'Til Cancelled listings), with any listing duration.

Final value fees will still be applied to the total amount of the sale including the cost of the item, shipping, and any other fees a seller may charge—excluding any sales tax. However, the maximum final value fees have been reduced to $10 per item sold for $100 or more (excluding taxes and shipping).

Please note: All existing selling limits on your account (as well as category and item limits) still apply. Listing fees may apply, depending on how many listings you have already created; learn more about seller fees, including number of free listings per month, by viewing our everyday rate plan.

Who's eligible?

This Promotion is available to invited sellers who: (i) received an email and/or message in My eBay; (ii) activated the promotion; and (iii) meet eBay's minimum seller performance standards. Please sign in to My eBay and view your Seller Dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards.

When is it?

This Promotion will begin on Thursday, December 06 2018 at 00:00:01 PT (12:00AM plus one second), and will end on Monday, December 10 2018 at 23:59:59 PT (11:59PM plus 59 seconds), for listings on www.ebay.com (the "Promotion Period").

How do I activate the Promotion?

Sellers that have been invited to participate will automatically receive the Promotion after they activate the Promotion from the invitation email, the Promotion landing page, or from within the Promotional Offers module within My eBay. Sellers must then create listings on the US site at www.ebay.com or eBay Motors at www.ebay.com/motors (Parts & Accessories and Automotive Tools & Supplies only) through the Sell Your Item form, eBay Seller Tools, eBay Mobile applications, and most third-party tools .

Please note that the discount may not be shown during the listing process. Instead, the discount will be reflected in the "Seller Account" section in My eBay, under the Account tab, as well as in your next invoice.

Got the offer, but I stopped selling on ebay based on my bad experiences so far. Last time had to refund $60 on a $40 local pickup item (sixflags ticket that was sent via ebay message & email) because scum linen2go disputed after 79 days of purchase. And despite of me showing all the evidence and message I had gotten from him, paypal still refunded him. No selling on ebay anymore.

In July 2020, ebay will move away from using paypal. I know when that day comes us I will never ever use paypal again. I think at that point most of the sellers will get back at paypal by filing complaints of their own and chargebacks to get back all the money that paypal has stolen from us.

Also, for those who have the offer, make sure to save the email or any message you receive with the offer. I got a selling offer once before but never got credited for it. I had to make numerous calls to ebay customer service before I finally got my money back, and that was only because I had saved the email. The message in your ebay inbox with the offer will disappear from your box after the offer is over, so make sure to save the actual email.

Sorry to hear that and for sure there are scum buyers on ebay. I have had so many screw me over by not paying for accepted offers and I have lost decent promotion value over it. Anyways the best a seller can do is make sure that you use all the possible tools to keep such users away.

I had been waiting for the $20 capped fees on the first 5 sales, but this is even better. Have a bunch of recording gear to sell. Was also hoping for eBay bucks on sales, but I don't think eBay issues those anymore? Used to get them all the time but haven't in about 6 months now.

Yeah, this is great advice. They do disappear after the promo period expires. Even better, take a screenshot of the landing page and seller account details showing the activated promo after you've activated the offer so they can't claim you never activated it.

In the future just send a $3 first class envelope with tracking to the buyer after they pick up. Then you will have your own Ace up your sleeve if they get dirty as you can provide tracking for an empty envelope.

That won't do squat. If a buyer disputes, PayPal will fark the seller one way or the other.

Almost nothing you can do to prevent this shit.

You should also avoid sending these things by email and messaging because eBay prohibits that and if you were in the wrong, unlikely any dispute will be resolved in your favor anyway.

Yeah that guy screwed himself over sending tickets through messages. EBay requires tracking proof and he just gave away all his seller protection emailing it to the buyer.

So wish I would've gotten this..... want to sell off my iPhone X that I've only had for about a month.....but because of the final value fee, I'd actually be getting a little less than I paid for it if I sold it now ..... so my options are wait for a selling fee promo to come my way or wait for another eBay coupon. This could've saved me around 60 bucks. Guess there's the Craigslist option too if I wanna risk getting robbed....

No need to be robbed. Just meet in a safe place. My local police station let's you sell things outside their location. Meeting in a populated place helps too. I've sold many things on offerup and letgo and never had a problem. Mostly met at the local Starbucks.

How does that work for local pickup?

For local pickup, you may need to let him sign bill of sale. That can be served as proof.
