Was able to use my 10% off coupon as well. Not sure if anyone else got one. Subject was " Congrats Brian - You're eligible to save 10%."

Not sure why I got it. Was pretty random. Was around the end of November. Not sure why. I did do USPS move earlier in the month so maybe that was it not sure.

The R-51Ms were on sale for $125 on Klipsch's website for "Black and Copper Friday". This price beats that.

(However, if you ordered from Clutchfield you might not have had to pay tax... which is what I did.)

Considering Klipsch is bad, all prices are bad prices. Don't buy it, it's low end garbage.

What's the difference between the R620F and the RF-62? Is this one a newer model?

Any actual recommendations for those looking to purchase speakers, or are you just trolling for the hell of it?

Not true some say cheaper speakers over Klipsch as well. They just hate Klipsch. Will see if I like them or not. Only thing I have Klipsch is some headphones I got on a deal couple years ago.

I think mine are good but not much to compare them to, I know there are better brands but these are good for the price

I'm looking just to set up living room music. No 5.1, no sub, just open-floorplan-living room.

So are the bookshelfs as bad as the reviews say? Is it worth over 2x for the R620?

People who say that Klipsch reference bookshelf speakers are garbage doesn't know what they're talking about.

I'm not going to argue that their headphones and maybe their bluetooth speakers are overpriced, but the Klipsch reference speakers are a good value for their price range when they're full priced. When they're on sale for $115 these are a NO BRAINER.

I've owned the previous generation of this speaker (R-15M) and they were great speakers (but I upgraded to some very nice Wharfedales). The tweeters were a little bright, but great detail, decent bass (though I'd recommend a subwoofer for home theater applications). They have a distinctive look that a lot of people enjoy. And they're very forgiving, you're going to get good performance out of these regardless of the room you place them in, or where you place them in the room (as long as the rear ports aren't too close to a wall).

If you want something around the same price range, but a bit better, I'd recommend the Polk S15 (often on sale for $160/pr) or the Elac B5s (the 2.0s are usually $200, but you can occasionally find deals on the first generation B5s).

If you're pinching pennies and don't care so much about asthetics, then go with the Dayton Audio B652 Air.

If it's just a regular room I feel like towers are out of place. I would say if 2 isn't enough you could do 4 bookshelf speakers. I'm doing 2 in my living room replacing two really crappy pioneer ones. It's all relative. If it's not enough for you can always try something else but would probably try first to see what you think.

Two of the R-51Ms, paired with a decent amp will be perfect for a living room music setup. I'm not sure what bad reviews you're talking about, these have rec'd mostly praise since their release earlier this year.

I would say the Klipsch towers may be overkill, and the $250-$400 range is an uber-competitive price point for bookshelf speakers, with lots of good options. Q-acoustics, Elacs, KEFs, Wharfedales, just to name a few.
