I have a set of these and really like them. I wish they had a set that didn't have the teeth. Tired of ruining the finish on things I'm using these on.

That is an Apples vs. Oranges comparison. I mean I get it, If you earn your living with or have an expensive 1 off project using these type of tools then an investment in the pricey Knipex may be warranted. That said, these Irwin's will do just fine for many folks, myself included. Also makes a nice stocking stuffer/gift. In for 2 sets (giving 1 as a gift). Thanks OP!

No prob sir
love these pliers
irwins will get the job done no doubt, solid pliers, if that rivet goes then the tool rendered useless these on other hand you can repair knipex they will last a lifetime

Knips bit pricey sure but in long run you will save money because longevity

What do you think of these channellocks for the price compared to the knipex?

Go with Knipex

i edited my lost post explaining why

However you do get two irwins and its a good value imo, cant go wrong, but if can spare the extra cash grab the knips

metal has better heat treatment (less likely to break) has replaceable "hinge"
they dont just last forever they hold up nicely, teeth just like the day i bought em

btw

as far as channellocks (sorry catching up)
Channelock is the Daddy of pliers Smilie
That undercut (think thats what its called) system is pretty great

Sorry at work trying to edit every chance i get to finish
Great set highly suggest

width, grip, and locking a few obvious differences

one is push button other is self adjust, some feel they get more torque from chans but not too sure about that
i feel channellock better value especially on budget but knip better pliers and buy
i usually upload pics to imgur and share with SD
if you wish to see a set after quite a bit of use let me know, i also own channellocks but only have two of their pliers
got a really old crecent kicking around

worth watching

best pliers imo but pricey

I also use them as nut crackers.. that work great. Set them a little open and they don't crush you nuts...
