This is a pretty sweet deal but I just keep hearing so much bad stuff about the bluetooth adapter...but if you dont wanna spend $200 on the BT version of the M-50XBT then go for it.

Bought this deal last time around and regretted it. The Bluetooth adapter is awful. The audio quality dropped substantially and it sounded like I was using a pair of free airplane headphones. In theory it was a good idea, but execution was lacking. Just stick to using the wire.

Buy the wired version for less than this package, or pay the extra for the M50's with Bluetooth built in. This package will get you neither good audio not good Bluetooth functionality.

Couldn't you buy these and not use the Bluetooth adapter? Still cheaper than the base model right?

the adapter is aftermarket. mine has crackling and called customer service. oh well, good studio cans. i use mine for everything like gaming, movies, music, etc. if you're looking for bass the sony ones are good. i just need consistent clear sounds

This Bluetooth adapter is absolutely shit. Save your money and get Bose QC35ii or the Sony XM3.

They work OK, my first one started to come loose inside and they sent me a replacement and this one cracks when it hits the sound floor. To be fair, I use it 4-8 hours a day at work and I use it at the gym while running and lifting, so someone who is a little easier on them may have better luck.

I would happily buy the built in BT version if i didn't already have the M50s. I copied this post of mine from another thread, but it applies here too.

I modified my M50s with a bluetooth adapter from TaoTronics. Cost me $22, a small phillips head and some solder. Everything I needed was included with the adapter (Aux cord and a M/M adapter I didn't need for this job). Sound quality is awesome. If there is a drop in quality it is nothing I can pick up. Maybe take a bit more volume to get it to the same place, but there's more volume than I would want to use.Soldering the new cord in place is non destructive, so it's perfectly reversible. Looks pretty stock. Playtime is as advertised at 15 hours plus. Supports AAC, APTX and aptX Low Latency. So happy I saved my perfectly burned in M50s. Seems that it would work fine with the M50x too, but the fit wouldn't be as slim because it woudl require the M/M adapter. Still might be an okay way to get good use out of a pair of M50x if you're stuck with a paid after the BT died. I've used them more since the upgrade than in the two years before that. WIRELESS FTW

I'm glad people are finally getting over the wireless bluetooth sound loss worries. Most people are using a lossy streaming service in the first place. I got the idea from this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2tPXLFPYso

Reviewmeta which is more reliable IMO. https://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B07...hrome_v2.4
