Does this ticket need to be used for an AMC theater? Regal is closer to me...

Probably, since it mentions Dolby Cinema, which is exclusive to AMC theatres

Considering that $10 Disney gift cards or Starbucks gift cards are redeemable for 1100 points, that comparatively makes this movie ticket redemption a "cost" of about $12.75. Factoring the value of the gold pin and movie soundtrack—whatever those turn out exactly to be—this isn't a bad deal.

Don't expect to get those. I did this offer with the star wars movie and it was supposed to come with extras and they rejected everyone who did the dmr offer.

Well, if that's the case, then this is not a good deal unless movie tix are expensive in one's area. By me, tix are less than $12.75 at any theater, so there's no reason to use points for this.

This fan event is priced at $24.00 near me EEK! so I think it's a good deal. It probably depends on your AMC but whenever I do fan events, I always get the free merch (which you can sell on ebay to recoup ticket costs if you don't want it)

Because fan events often have free souvenirs, they are priced even more expensive than regular Dolby which is 19.00 in my city.

The trick is to get to the movie early for the free merch. It's first come first serve and they never have enough for everyone who comes strangely, so they leave right before the movie starts Some of the ones I went to didn't have previews which was an added bonus for me (I go to the movies a lot so I hate seeing the same 1/2 hour of previews each time).

These tickets are only for the Tuesday 1/18 fan event in Dolby at AMC - it's usually at 7 pm. With music downloads, they often give you a collectible lanyard with a code to download the soundtrack. Not a bad deal imho

Thanks OP. I did have a ticket for this, but I cancelled it and bought using points. Tickets are $24 in the Chicago area, so this is a decent deal! I had to remove my stubs account because I had a reward before checking out so it wouldn't use my $5 available reward. Doh!

Not worth it IMO — worst movie ever. If you want to be harassed by children not your own for 2 hours in a movie theater, this is the movie for you. Sad I paid movie to watch this, wouldn't watch this even if I got paid for it — I was completely exhausted watching this movie. Thought the movie would get better but it never did. Two people on my right in the theater snored through most of the movie and honestly can't blame them, kinda almost envy they slept through it.
