Editor's Notes & Price Research

  • A materials charge of $5 per vehicle will be assessed at time of installation. Some vehicles may require additional parts costing $10–$50. Manual transmission vehicles may require additional parts or labor costing $70–$120.
  • Your Geek Squad Autotech will provide an estimate prior to performing work that requires an additional charge (including nonstandard installation) and any additional parts. Any additional charges will be assessed after the installation is complete.

Not sure if anybody else has answered you, so I will. Smilie The 4900 is the "basic" Compustar line. It includes the CM900 brain. Solid brain and really nothing basic about it. But the 4905 includes the DC3 brain. This is the next step up. Includes all that the CM900 does and more. , add-on alarm functionality if you want, plus more. Has the bypass module built in on that one. No Blade-AL needed with the DC3

Nice Price. Just be prepared to wait for an install appointment.

Just a heads up, comon theme on other threads:

- It will not work with a manual transmission, support was pulled for it. Search RS1B-AL and alarmit-kit

- Some vehicle use a t-harness, some dont. Add it to you cart, do not select "I'll install it myself" and the proper parts hout populate

- VW and Audi you will lose a key. Alternate solution search VWX000A which is ewxpensive but alot of vehicle you do not lose a key

- Will not work with 2005 BMW and up or Mercedes

- Vehicle shutting down depends on the car. If it uses a regular key it wont. If toyota push-to start or lexus it will

- This time of year the Autotech bays are booked up, expect a wait time

Those dips. And they have what seems like a couple dozen models that they rotate sales through, with the same specs, aka screwing you on a price match

Anyone have first hand experience with this?
Also, what security measures are in place? Does it shut off when someone applies the brake?

Based on my searching of previous threads, I'm seeing that the 4905s is newer and doesn't require as many splices as well as having the option to add smartphone starting with an addon as well as clicking the lock button on your factory remote three times to start if preferred.
