Here is the statement that Metro provided to Android Police today:

"All current Metro customers can now complete a device (IMEI) change free of charge by calling 611, *228 or 888-8metro8 and using our automated system."

Damage is already done.. I'm taking all 12 lines and heading over to magenta and I'll give my business to TMobile from now on.. metro can go to hell. 😉

Wow, the automated system and website never worked with a non-metro byod SIM swaps for me (18 months+ ago).

They really need to get rid of the entire registering of IMEIs and allow the user to just simply swap SIM cards. It's a legacy holdover from before switching to T-Mobile's GSM network.

I think this killed sprint. Metro needs universal sims.
