Thanks but that one is halogen - it gets hotter than the sun and adds dollars to your power bill. It is a great price but both those things are problems for me.
The one here is LED - cool to the touch and low power consumption

How much do use work lights that it affects your power bill even noticeably?

I agree, but I still prefer LED work lights. I used a Craftsman halogen work light for 10 years, but recently upgraded to LED. You can fry an egg on the halogen housing. The LED I can put away after the job's done, I don't have to wait until it cools down. Personal preference.

I prefer LED lights as well, but when someone uses power as a justification for not using halogen I'm going to call them on it.

Feel free but I believe the measure for power is watts and the halogen he linked is 1000 watts while the LED one is 40 watts. I can't find the lumen output for this particular halogen so it may not be apples to apples. Generally, LEDs are significantly more efficient that halogen - all that heat is there for a reason.

Depends but 10 hours a day for several days in a row is not uncommon.

I live in Southern California. Blaine's Farm web site says that PowerSmith cannot be shipped to California because of "state shipping restrictions." Seems kind of bogus. I don't know where this firm is located, but I suspect (understandably) that the shipping cost on this item to the West Coast are quite high. SO, they would make too little, if any, profit on this item. The rest of you, that aren't West Coasters, enjoy the great deal!
