If you click "buy it now" but don't pay right away the item disappears from your cart. The sale never happened.
If you "add to cart" you don't have to pay right away but the item price can be lowered/raised by seller at anytime between now and Friday or whatever. If you "make an offer" now the seller has up to 48 hrs to accept/decline/counter and in this case you will have to pay (if accepted) within the time frame the seller has set up. Your accepted offer is not just gonna sit there until you feel like paying. The seller can open an unpaid item case anytime he wants after the time frame he has set up has passed.

Now let's move on....

There's a thousand dollar item that I have been itching to buy, so I'm looking forward to Friday's sale.

Grrr! I was hoping for a 15-20% this week! It'll come soon enough, but 10% isn't bad for now 👍🏻

First post, please thumbs up/down/rep with that in mind & message me whatever tips or editing that's necessary.

I was notified that there will be 10% off on Friday morning from 6 am EST for 24 hours. Up to $100 savings. I'm sure there will be a coupon code although I didn't get that info yet. Even though this is not a very comprehensive post I figured I'll put this out there so everyone can keep their eyes out.

I've been reading SD for years and I figured I'll jump in and attempt to contribute. Too all the posters out there I really appreciate it!

Notified How?

Proof of this? I currently have my cart opened, ready to check out. Might have to wait, but don't want to delay needlessly.

So will they jack up prices again to make up the 10%?

Buy the item now (via Send Offer/Accept Offer) and pay on Friday. If the deal is legit, it's not like they can raise the price at that point.

Not if you send/accept an offer (if possible). I have a 1k item in my cart that I legally have to pay for, but don't need to complete checkout for just yet.

"Buy it now" is different than "make an offer". You told the other guy to buy now. He should make an offer instead.

I technically bought the item at that time (now). I didn't pay for it yet. I didn't say pay now, did I?

Updated original post even though common sense says "don't go past the checkout page where you enter a coupon until you have a coupon to enter".
If you click "buy it now" but don't pay right away the item disappears from your cart. The sale never happened.
