I have been wanting a SP for years now, but I just can't get over the lack of usb type c. Not an issue now but just such a huge issue with future proofing a device. Especially for something that is $1000.

Not a bad deal if you have Citi bestbuy card which you get 10% back in rewards on door buster items (this is included)

Agreed. This is still available in at least one store (Flushing). People in the Microcenter thread are still reporting that they are able to pricematch at BBY

I get why ppl prefer usb-c, but not having it isn't going to really affect it's usability much. You will just need to carry the surface adaptor and if you use a usb-drive just get one of those that has both a usb-c and usb-a output to ensure universal compatibility. Not really such a difficult problem to overcome if you've been wanting a SP for years.

While I agree with you that it's not a major issue to not have a usb-c port, not having the ability to charge off of PD battery pack is a bit of a bummer.

I use the dock. And I find the magnetic connector much more pleasant to use than a usb-c connector. If you are getting this SP6, you should really consider getting a dock (~$100 on ebay) for the full intended experience.

I'm hoping that on the next gen SP, they'll somehow come up with a magnetic usb-c/tb3 connector.

This is the black model. Although it looks great there have been reports it scratches easy. It is fingerprint resistant though

6% back in rewards is the max I don't know where you come up with 10%. Nowhere does it say on there that door buster items is 10% back in rewards
