This would be good for a child I would say 12 and under. It's very slow and has an inferior display but a toddler or pre-teen wouldn't know the difference. Anyone older than that should opt for the Galaxy Tab A or S3/S4 tablets. My daughter is 7 and uses it primarily for YouTube and Netflix. I also have the A series for my fiance which she uses mostly for ebooks and I have the S4 Tab which is what I used for my comparison of the three. Hope that helps

Hi, Butcherboy. It's a good deal if you can make use of the $25 Google Play credit. A similar product is almost always on sale for $129.99 at Samsung.com here [samsung.com], without the Google Play credit.

Do note that this likely runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, which was released 4 years ago in December 2014.

Thoughts? Worth it?

ETA: Reading the Walmart reviews, people seem to be having a time getting the $25 Google Play credit. Says the link on the box is expired.

Same here! I'd still be using mine if it would connect to WiFi. It still works, it just stopped connecting to WiFi with CyanogenMod. I tried wiping it clean, reinstalling, installing different builds, and still won't connect to WiFi.

I am as well! Two of them actually, both flashed with Cyanogen Android. Perfect for my 6 year old to watch videos without me worrying about it being destroyed, spilled on, etc. Amazed theyre still chugging along with minimal issues.

Wow lucky you guys. I had two. Both died a couple of years ago. Won't turn on any more. I was running cyanogenmod.
