>>>BEWARE<<< When you buy iTunes movie collections, you will get 4K movies in iTunes. But since they show as HD collections (not 4K collections), they will transfer HD licenses to Movies Anywhere. So VUDU and others will get HD only, not 4K. If you buy each movie separately in 4K iTunes, then you get 4K in iTunes and will transfer 4K/UHD license to MA, VUDU, etc.

You may be right since Vudu has the bundle only in HDX so it's more of Vudu's problem

It would be great if VUDU tried to compete with iTunes

Also it seems like gouging that VUDU has each movie in UHD separately, but the trilogy is relegated to HDX.

I already own The Dark Knight on iTunes. As far as I can tell if I buy this I get no credit or discount or gift-able copy of the duplicate film. A bit disappointing.

That's one of my biggest complaints about how they rig "sales" of digital movies. Getting to the point where I'm less and less interested in playing their new "resolution churning" game and going back to keeping my DVD and Blu-ray media. They're at the point of pricing digital for more than the physical discs nowadays, ridiculous.

Not really correct. The individual movies are 4k on iTunes.
Likely ports to MA as HD though because of bundle.
