The fender has a tuner and fisman piezoelectric pickup. I have a 30 year old Washburn dred I love that I've been playing since brand new but I bit on the fender for the cutaway and the electronics, for that price with it's specs and a hardshell case you could probably make money flipping it on reverb if you don't like it, they are selling used in the low 700's currently.

Reverb, whats that? Are you serious about the fender price? the fender is acoustic electric right?

Reverb is like e bay for musicians.

But comparing this being a full day of body and the fender purely acousticly the Washburn will be louder and more bassy, bigger body and no cutaway and no tuner sticking down into the body taking up acoustic space. It really depends on what you are looking for.

You want boomin' sound or more reserved? Boomin', go with Dreadnought.

I'd say it's more akin to musician crack. It is a black hole and it will take all your money. A friend told me.

i came in here ready to poo-poo the fender because i've never been impressed with their low-end acoustics, but that one has pretty solid specs (solid back and sides are rare at this price range) and comes with electronics and a case. both these are pretty tempting. adorama, how the heck does a camera store have so many good guitar deals?

The $499 one I thought was a dreadnought also? Prefer the sunburst.
