I'd personally get a Focusrite. Behringer uses ASIO4ALL drivers which is universal and I personally don't like the interface. Focusrite has their own drivers for their audio interfaces

Funny thing is I have both these items I make music if you wanna hear how it sounds lol. I used to use the u-phoria before I got a focus rite. I paid about $140ish used but in good shape for both.
Edit actually I have the at2035. Got it because it was worth the upgrade for a shock mount. Can get both less used if you shop around but this seems like a decent deal. I also bought them a few years back.

Great deal on this! Focusrite has some of the best preamps in the industry. That's not a half bad microphone either. If you need something to record 1 instrument and vocal, this is a steal.

How is the latency on real time monitoring for vocals on this interface?

I own the 2i4 and the AT-2020. Both are amazing for small-time recording. I know this is for the 2i2 but you're really only missing out on some inputs and outputs. The latency shouldn't be an issue as it's never been for me. One of my favorite features about this is the real-time monitoring built in.

Mic is great, unit is great. Anyone looking to get into recording or even a professional should jump on this. I have 2 of the the 2x4 version and it's fantastic (one for studio one for bedroom). The mic pre's are amazing and the AT2020 is a solid mic for the price. No drivers needed for Mac - it's automatically recognized.

Wish it was just the USB interface.

Amex card holders: Check to see if you have the Amex $25 off $250 offer for shopping at Adorama. I am personally considering purchasing a $75 gift certificate and a filler item to bump the purchase above $250.

Was looking for this exact combo. Bought one, and a boom mic and shock mount of Amazon, and $6 pop filter from eBay. Not bad to record a track.

Honestly, the UMC404HD is on sale for $106.99 on Amazon - and it's 4i4. Every review/comparison I'd seen has the Behringer with less latency and technical issues than the Focusrite, with the modest edge Focusrite has on the preamps not really making all that much difference.

Seems to me Focusrite has prettier packaging with the bright red, and is winning the marketing campaign versus it being dollar for value, with basically the same quality on the sound side.

Then again, my son (who asked for a 2i2 Focusrite fro x-mas) is getting the UMC404HD instead - so either he'll be annoyed with his dad or excited he has 4 input and outputs and an overall more functional rig with more options, and comparative sound quality (which ends up fairly subjective anyway).

Thanks for the alternative suggestion. Did the UMC come with any recording software? I don't see it listed. That would be a plus for this deal.
