Does this one block the bottom plug on the outlet?

Warning - these things are huge and will take up your entire outlet in most instances. If you plug them into a surge protector strip, it'll take up at least 3 or 4 spaces unless there's an unusual amount of space between outlets. I have 4 of these and will probably replace them soon with something much more low profile; not worth it to cut my outlets in half.

Edit: getting downvoted by a salty owner who doesn't want to hear the truth I guess. Forgot to mention that TP-Link sells a "mini" that is much better. It doesn't monitor power used like this one does, but you get your outlets back. They also have a new version that actually has 2 outlets AND is about the same size as the mini, so you can actually double your number of outlets.

EDIT 2: the mini is currently $15.82, a two pack of them is $27.99 on Amazon.

Not always, I have several of these. If you have a small plug (picture 1) you are ok. If you have something larger (like picture 2) you will be blocked.

This is an ok price if you have home automation and want to set up a notification for when the washer completes a cycle, less expensive than the Wemo Insight or the various smart power strips by far. It works with Homeassistant, and blocking issues can be resolved with a short extension cable.

Not sure what type of wall outlets you have but it covers the entire wall outlet with this plug.

Not always, please see this picture. It will certainly block larger items from being plugged beneath it. I agree there.Click image for larger version

Saw these in my local Staples yesterday for $13.99. I passed on it since I actually went to the store to buy the HS105 model that was supposedly $9.99.

Other than the size, what's the difference between v1 and v2? Look like the same size.

I stocked a little in BF for 2 at this same price as well as a couple bought from last year's BF. A good thing I like about this is it can take a heater. My zigbee smart plug got burned once with heater. This also tells the energy consumed etc. other than the fact it's a chinese vendor/cloud so I put them on a segregated network away from my wife's computer doing banking stuff.

I only found hs100 ($13.99) not the hs105 at my local Staples.
