I was looking for a SSD for my kid's computer and came across a sale on Hyundai branded SSD's. 120GB for $21.99, 240GB for $31.99 and 480GB for $59.99. I have it running in an old Dell laptop and it makes a huge difference.
This is weird having a car brand make your hard drives. Interested in seeing some reviews after they've established themselves somewhat.
For $22, I'd rather buy a mediocre known brand than take the risk.
Hyundai is a huge manufacturer of electronics and goods in South Korea. They build way more than cars. It's like saying GE is a just a washing machine manufacturer.

except it isn't the case this time.
Hyundai Technology is not the same company that builds automobiles, nor is it the previous parent company of Hynix. General Procurement, Inc. (out of Santa Ana, CA) licenses the Hyundai name. The company is new to flash-based products but also sells notebooks along with USB and SD cards.
I use to work for those guys. Trust me they are a huge company that have there name everywhere. The have "parent companies" in different places but it all comes back to Hyundai. For instance Hyundai and Samsung make up like 6 of the top 10 companies in South Korea. Concert, cars, insurance and military are there top companies. They make great tech by the way.

The Intel 545s is cheaper and the Samsung EVO is about the same price.
