Unadvertised sale on VGCs this week at Office Depot/OfficeMax. Profitable deal especially if you can find and liquidate the "Everywhere" variety.

Grocery Everywhere and Style Everywhere can be used at Walmart Supercenters. They only have a $4.95 fee vs $6.95 for regular VGCs. Ends up being a $5.10 profit not counting the points you'll earn if you have the right credit card

So you're netting $1 per transaction? Because of $7 fee per $200?

Five dollars per transaction if you get that everywhere variety. But I am also getting around 2000 ultimate rewards per transaction because I have a Chase Ink business credit card that gets five points per dollar an office supply stores. That's a good $30 worth of points (more than that if you use them right)

Damn I wish I had that card. Keep thinking about signing up.
I have the capital one 2% cash back.
So can you use the everywhere variety at other stores besides Walmart ?
Sorry confused where you can and cannot use it.

I want the person to be able to use it wherever they want.

Grocery everywhere can be used at places that sell groceries. Style everywhere is meant for places that sell clothes. If you want one that can be used anywhere, you'll need to get the normal Visa gift card and pay the extra $2/card fee (only $1 profit instead of $5).

You saying $5 per transaction because of the lower fee for the everywhere version, right? But then don't you have to use them in specific places (grocery or whatever)? You cannot cash them, right? Or can you? I have been avoiding the everywhere version thinking I cannot buy MO or do something like that. Would be great to know if there are other ways to maximize along with the UR points.

I use them to load Bluebird/Serve or buy MO's at Walmart or my local grocery store.

Isn't it better to do 200 and 100 so you make $2?

If you aren't trying to maximize credit card points, then yes.
