I've got 3 old style aerogardens I got off craigslist for $15 each. I've grown tons of chili peppers, salad greens and some herbs. They look cool and are fun to have, but I haven't come close to producing $45 worth of veggies, and my models cost about $18/year to power or something like that

Looks like it's direct and not via amazon. My antivirus blocked the Bronto referral link from their email at first.

They accept amazon pay though.

Comes with a bonus salad greens pod kit too, a $15.95 value.

I've already got an aerogarden with the 30w LED, it's very cool but not growing anything right now.

Thanks for the share! Was gonna bite on the OP but for $20 more, may as well get the "elite" version (whatever that indicates).

I bought this thing about 3 weeks ago from Kohl's. All my little herbs are sprouting just fine. I had read many negative reviews, but if you follow simple instructions, it seems to work just fine.

for herbs, it's fantastic. for tomatoes and jalapenos, not so much... they were bla and tasteless. grew well though, might be worth trying our own seeds for them next time, but honestly just as an herb grower these things are great.

Appears the only difference between the regular and elite versions are materials (plastic v. steel). Doesn't look any larger but someone with more knowledge please correct me if I'm wrong.

Looks like many reviews are complaining about light defective and non existing customer service...

It's a 20-watt LED panel. There is no bulb to speak of. I can't imagine.

As far as the difference in models, here is a comparison chart [aerogarden.com]

Functionally they are extremely similar, the elite reads:
Interactive LCD Touchscreen
Fully Automated, Customizable

The regular harvest reads:
Push Button, Automated Grow Lights, Nutrient & Water Reminders

so the interface is probably slightly different.

I read the manufacturer has a 1 year warranty.
