isnt that shoulder one better where you can just slide it up to your eye level and let it hang by waist when you are not using it?

it depends on your usage.

I don't even use a strap anymore.

I use a bag.

some people only use the capture clip too.

shoulder sling type.
most of the time I use InCase Ari bag. I carry dslr, flash, and a few lenses.
If I'm traveling light I switch to a lowepro toploader bag.
I do have a capture clip but that's only when I've got a backpack on.
