In for the 3.5 amp. This should do well on removing grout in my master bath shower. Going to go with a dewalt grout removal blade instead though.

I bought that one just a few weeks ago and plan on using it for the same purpose.

I've found the best place for blades is amazon. Blades are much cheaper than name brand blades and pretty much the same quality. Can't comment on grount blade but the big metal and the wood blades a decent for 1/10 of the name brand price.

Hah, I bought the F30 two years ago (paid $60 on Amazon) for the exact same purpose, and got (likely) the same Dewalt blade (DWA4219). First time using the tool and first time doing that job, and it all went very smoothly.

Just a thought for those in the market for one. I have the F80 and it's a great machine and extremely versatile, but I really wish I got cordless. Grout removal is probably better off with corded, but for random tasks around the house cordless would have been nice.

Is the F80 here any different than the one on Lowe's for 99 bucks? In terms of accessories included?

Looking to cut out some hardwood to put in a threshold, will the 3 amp be enough power or should I step up to the bigger one?

Yes - it should be. The hard case and the tool count towards the "12 piece kit."

As a price point, the saw blades for $22.99 for six, individual blades at Lowes yesterday were $7.99 a piece, so this is a pretty good deal.

You'll be alright with the 3amp.

Even the cheapest ones at hf will be fine, by extra blades though and don't go too fast. Once the blade gets hot they're usually toast.

There are some videos on YT how to resharpen with a triangle file too, did it once in a jam. I saw a sharpening attachment for a drill also, basically a sanding wheel w groves cut in it. But the cheapies from Amazon or eBay work. good tool in general, but go through blades fast, so I usually only use when I have no other option
