....You will also earn $50 in Kohls Cash.

At check out, it said only earn $40 in Kohls Cash. Looks like the Kohl's Cash back is based on the price after 10% in cart discount which taken off automatically before subtotal.

Kohl's Cash
$40.00

Only $25.01 to next $10 Kohls Cash

Which of these two would be best for a home with a couple pets and both carpet and hardwood?

I've read that the fluffy is essential for hardwood.

I don't have one of these, but if you have all hardwood floors, I think your better off with the absolute model. The brush head isn't brushes on that model but something softer that is supposed to be better on hard surfaces.

I have the v7 absolute and yes the fluffy is nice for hard woods it is not essential. I rarely use it as it is easier to use the main attachment as it does carpet and wood as my house has both. The bigger issue is the hepa filter, v7 doesnt have it so not a big deal if your house is mainly wood floors but if a lot of carpet your gonna want hepa so v8 absolute at bed bath beyond with 20% would be your best bet. Assuming it still on sale for 350 then take 20% off coupon

I find the soft roller essential for larger pieces like cat food on hardwood. The main attachment seems to just push it around instead of picking it up.

YMMV on Bed Bath and Beyond since Dyson is listed as an exclusion and some cashiers are sticklers. Most are not but beware that could happen.

Very true regarding BBB, again the fluffy is nice and better for hardwoods but I just saying it's not essential. Myself and two friends all bought one from BBB last year around this time and they honored the 20% off so worth a shot.

I don't see this price listed on their website for the v8. Do you have to ask Dyson customer service to price match? I have target giftcards so it would be great to get target to price match at $279...

Yes, that is right. I reached out to via chat and was able to get that price. It was quick n easy. Imho I would rather spend 75 more for v8 absolute.

Here is the SD link for reference.

Dyson v8 is a way better deal as the battery life is 40 minutes compared to the 25-30 of the V7 for roughly the same amount of charging time
