Correct - I have some insider knowledge. This product is non-perishable, and does NOT have an expiration date. The "best by" date is totally different. People confuse the two and get scared. Though after 10 years it may upset your stomach a bit.

The seasonal candy often has a much shorter "best by" date than the regular stuff - so it doesn't stay on the shelves after the holiday. Same with special packages (contests, movie promotions, etc).

Much more important is storage conditions. Overheat or several freeze/thaw cycles will kill the candy much more than sitting for a year or 2 in proper temperature.

So unfortunately it comes down to the seller and how much they pay attention to the storage requirements (and how long it sits in a delivery truck on cold/hot days).

No kidding. Candy doesn't expire just gets stale. You could probably eat it in 10 years and while it might not taste good it's not going to kill you.

Incorrect. Not expired yet. Only 3 months since Halloween. See above post. Best by 05/2019. See questions in the product page also. One person said some were best by 01/2019, others by 04/2019.
Also don't forget Amazon's satisfaction guarantee.

Even better than last time, $1.57/pound. My last order just arrived and it's marked "best by 05/2019". It will probably be gone before four months. Thanks.

I bought a couple when they were on sale a few weeks ago. They have a good expiration date, I think 04/2019, but they are a bit on the stale side, Starburst are hard, and some of the chocolate has started to get that grayish white powdery look that old chocolate gets, it's all still edible though. I'm guessing the mix is probably random, but both the boxes I got had a lot of 3 Musketeers (our least favorite of the mix). They only had a handful of Starburst and Twix, a decent amount of M&Ms and Snickers, plenty of 3 Musketeers. It is a lot of candy for a cheap price. My family has been eating on the first box for a few weeks now, and it's still got plenty left, I may order another box.

I bought 4 of these, last time. AWESOME. Stuffed all the stockings and ate more than my share.

And it will still be fine months after that date. They really should take those dates off stuff, just causes paranoia.
