It's true that the Nike Epic React has elicited strong positive and negative responses. Writing a generic "terrible reviews" is extremely misleading though.

I have run in Hoka Clifton, Conquest; Adidas Ultraboost; Asics Kayano; Nike Free, Pegasus; Vibram 5 F; and Altra Escalantes. The Epic React and Vapormax 4% are two of the shoes I have not worn, but want to try. If this was sold directly by Nike at this price, I would be all over it.

Nike took a risk and tried to innovate, and while that may not be for everyone, each person should form a personal opinion based on foot structure, running style, and feel.

Now this is a well thought out viewpoint. I have the reacts and think they're great but afraid they will ultimately wear down a bit quicker than other soles. They're comfortable though. I do want to try to get a pair of Cliftons!

Run in mine often, while theres better running shoes out there, I love em. They fit very tight if you have wider feet definitely size .5 up!

I work at nike. Ive also worn Adidas boost. If you are planning on running I'd take these epics, if you are looking for casual comfort and just the soft mushyness go with boost. I wear these reacts all day and never get achy feet. If you are worried about wear on the soles the Odyssey reacts are just as comfortable with more rubber on the sole. Nike probably realized the epics sole was an issue. For 60$ this price is great. People come in the store looking for them all the time.
