Xbox One X console $279.00 at Marshall’s

Stopped into Marshall's in Northern California. Apparently they got XBOX One X in this morning. Just a couple per store. Listed at $379.99. Spoke to the cashier who checked the system and it had been marked down to $279.00. If you're looking for an XBOX One X deal, call and check inventory at your local store. Comes with one controller.

No calling. Or else you'll give the heads-up to an employee and there goes your opportunity. Slick means be slick.

Could someone kindly explain why we "never call?" Please don't give me crap, just looking for a straight answer.
It's like finding a $20 bill on the ground and asking the first pedestrian you see if it's theirs.

If you call about a great deal you alert the employees to it. Often times they don't know about it. So instead of telling you they have 5 in stock they say they have 0 and quickly text their friends.

Because if it is a price mistake, they will fix it and deal dead.

And if it isn't a mistake, now that person knows, and could say it is out of stock, and buy it themselves. Or hide all remaining ones until their friends or family come in to buy it instead. Or tell all the other employees and they all buy them.

It is easy for them to say "Nope not here" and hang up the phone. Not AS easy to do it when face to face.
