100% Polyester. No thanks.

Expensive for a piece of plastic.

I can't sleep in a non breathable fabric, why would I put my kid in it?

C'mon, how many times do we have to go through this? Add-on purchases can be bypassed by pre-ordering a video game to get past the order amount needed and then you simply cancel the video game purchase after you receive your item. Not even worth complaining about. Yes, Amazon does it so you can purchase other items - like any smart business would do. Not a dirty trick. It's on the fine print.

My limited experience with this brand is that it runs small.

I wouldn't say it's a trick more than a business decision not to ship things by themselves that weigh almost nothing — nearly everything "add-on" weighs under 1lb. The dollar limit is bogus though, but I can understand why they can't offer the low price and ship alone.

I can tell you I spend well over $120/yr in shipping costs if I had to pay for it from Amazon. I had a 75lb generator delivered in 1 day for free from halfway across the country in the middle of a hurricane watch that probably cost as much as the generator itself.

The membership cost is a simple average of total dollar spent in shipping by Amazon per year divided by # of subscribers. If they allowed this add-on stuff with no limit, shipping cost would increase as would the annual fee for everyone — the fee covers the expected average shipping cost for a Prime customer, that's it. If you don't think you hit $120/yr in shipping, you're probably wasting your money with a membership.
