Worth a look before pulling the trigger on a 1070 ti:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 pricing and performance leaked [videocardz.com]
Edit: Upshot is ~1070 ti performace for $350.

Yeah everyone thought that about the 1080 and 1080ti too and they came down a bit then sold out. Nvidia doesn't seem to be willing to go much below 350 for this 1070ti. These aren't selling as fast but the 350 deals do generally sell out. These will just wither away a bit more slowly. Then we can all enjoy paying for Ray tracing.

Posted this for the blower type card when it was on sale, but the 1070 Ti mentioned in this thread also qualifies for a $20 EVGA mail-in rebate that expires 12/31/2019. This brings the price down to $339.99 upon redemption of the rebate.

RX 580: 8419 bench, $165, ____51 points per dollar.

Amd is the better buy.. But many slickdealers are waiting for the fire sale..

If these greedy mining boom caused over 0 months of inventory..

And none of us buy anything for 9 months.. = FIRESALE.. !!

Don't think nvidia is going to lower prices, they're Ngreedia after all..

In a few months, the mining cards will be rotting on ebay, prolly $90-100 for RX580

Everyone is Greedy, it's all about market position.
Nvidia doesnt have to lower prices, because why?
If you want top end performance, they have a monopoly. thats why the 2080 ti is 1200 bucks.

While Nvidia does want the sales, the market is hurting both them and their competition. but they dont care as much as their competiion does, so it makes more sense for them to just hold out and just keep pushing forward where they continue to have a monopoly (hopefully until amd's 7nm graphics)

I bought this one and 10 minutes later saw the news about the upcoming rtx 2060. Just in raw power the 1070 ti beats the 2060, but on the supposed benchmarks the 2060 looks pretty much like a ti with ray tracing. I never thought the 2060 will be on par with a 1070 ti, so I canceled my order right away.

rtx is gonna match the 1070ti in performance and/or may even beat it in some games. I would definitely wait for official numbers but I'm towards not getting this at 350... maybe 300 with a game bundle.

I read the same article then pulled the trigger. The 1160 will be similar to the 1070 and will cost similar too. Nvidia won't release the 1160 until the 1060's are gone. End up paying the same amount for the same performance. As far as the rtx 2060, when you turn on ray tracing the fps takes a hit. If you want ray tracing you will need a better card. Have been waiting for a deal on EVGA or AUSUS strix, this is better than black friday because you can sell the games for at least $60. If you are on the fence grab it before it sells out. The fire sale on 580's and 1060's is now. zotac 1060 on newegg right now for $200. Sell the games and it is $140. Won't ever get lower than that. 1070's are going to sell out just like the 1080's. Is $20 -$40 really worth waiting for months or even missing out on getting one?

I was thinking the same thing, but here I am trying my luck in this "ray tracing" bandwagon. I mostly play games for the immersion and atmosphere, so I'm hoping that in 2019 there will be more than a couple games that really uses well that technology.
