Tempting but the new one is supposed to be announced during CES 2019. What's Best Buy's return policy on this right now? And do they have a restocking fee?

No restocking fees and return policy depends upon your membership level. For regular member it's 15 days, elite it is 30 and elite plus has 45 days.

This seems to be too powerful / overkill for Chrome OS

I love my Chromebook but I can't see spending this much money on one even if it's much faster. If you can someday dual boot EASILY then maybe I would be interested but I'll hold off until then. My Chromebook is a 2015 model that I purchased for $180 and still runs great.

This runs Android apps, Linux programs and most windows programs. A lot of people knocking it that would never give it a chance. One of the best laptops you can buy, especially for the money.

I'm currently trying out a Pixel Slate. Their verdict is still out on Chrome OS for me. I find an IPad so much easier to navigate both I love the idea on just one device.

The final stumbling block I faced in making myself solely rely on ChromeOS was no access to printer and scanner software. Google cloud printing worked to some extent but not entirely. There is no scanning solution I can find though.

The entire point of chrome OS is that it's integrated with all of google's online services, sheets, drive, gmail, photos, etc.

Any issues with Bluetooth on the Pixelbook? I know my ASUS C100P has lip sync issues.
