These aren't necessarily bad brushes, but as a dentist, I would never recommend this type of brush to patients. Oral-B brushes were designed for the standard "precision" brush tip. All of the studies that Oral-B has conducted are based off using the standard brush head. You are going to get a better cleaning from a standard brush with more bristle density so that areas aren't missed.

The polishing cup is a gimmick to sell to consumers. The way whitening toothpastes works is by being three times more abrasive than your normal toothpaste. The level of abrasivity was designed for a conventional toothbrush. It strips away a thin layer of your protective enamel to slightly whiten teeth. It is a pretty inefficient way to remove stain. If you could tolerate it, you'd be far better off bleaching and not constantly abrading away your enamel everyday. It may possibly be worse utilizing the 3D White polishing cup that holds the abrasive against the tooth even more, but of course there are not studies since Oral-B specifically designed the floss-action brushes and polishing cups for consumers that don't have a great understanding of oral hygiene.

My best recommendation is to save your money, and buy the standard "precision" brush head that is proven to work effectively on an Oral-B toothbrush. The cross action heads are essentially a precison head with the bristles tilted slightly to better clean the gum line on people that don't angle there brushes toward their gingiva properly.

This comment is definitely wrong. Whitening toothpastes both whiten and abrade enamel. The ADA is not a legislative body, and lacking the ADA seal does not mean a product doesn't work, but having the ADA seal means that it is has been proven experimentally to work. Not all companies choose to go through the rigorous and expensive process of ADA approval.

Costco has $10 off a 9 pack this month, which usually comes to like $3 a head. Much better deal if you use the crossaction which is $30 for a 3/pk.

This is good deal if you use the 3D white.

It's $5 off the list price of $22 so $16, not $10
$16, then click the $5 coupon underneath comes out to $11. Then add tax. For me comes out to $12.84...

$16.67 - $5 (Coupon) - $2.50 (S&S) + $0.76 (tax) = $9.93 total

Current price at costco is $49.99, $10 off leads to $39.99 for 9-count. How is it a $3/head?
