That 5 tool Ridgid deal especially looks nice. I already have all except the angle grinder though.

Lots of sets with (2) free tools or (2) free batteries = 4 batteries total

Seems like a really good deal... I'm personally shocked how low dewalt miter saws are now. I would hold out for a sliding model but I know some users don't want that.

Its a decent deal but its not the sliding version of the saw, Im guessing that is why the price is low(ish)

Agree, but "sliding" is a mixed benefit. For something that's installed in a workshop, sure, the sliding is better. But the sliding mechanism makes the thing substantially larger and heavier. In something that's "portable" (as you'd assume this is, since it's made to run on battery power), you have to consider if that extra size and weight is worth it. Of course, it depends mostly on what your task is, size of the material, how much you plan to move the saw, etc. For what this is, I actually prefer that it's not sliding (and of course lower price helps too.)
But again, depending on what you're using it for, you might need the versatility of a sliding saw.

Totally agree with you. Some of the benefits of a slider are, besides cutting wider stock, sliding through laminate plank like butter, sliding is faster than pressing down on heavy stock, better control on cutting metal stock... but if you don't need the sliding, this is a great deal

Anyone know if the DeWalt drill bits and screwdriver set is any good?

Seems like even decent brands sell crappy drill bit sets, at least according to some reviews. Maybe DeWalt is an exception?

They are good, but I only buy impact rated bits anymore, they last longer. If you lose bits, then go for it

The Dewalt set you listed with "bonus battery" is $50 cheaper if you buy without said "bonus"
