I got this for my son for Xmas for use on Xfinity and he said it was sluggish. He likes the screen size and clarity though. I thought 3 GB ram would be sufficient for the mobile games he plays. I paid $240 with $150 back from Xfinity.

Are you using it on Xfinity mobile service? Are you using the Xfinity mobile service and if so how do you like it. Looking at it as a pretty cheap mobile service. If I understand it correctly all you pay is $12 per GB of shared data and no extra charge per phone. Looks like you have to purchase an expensive phone through them tho if you want Android.

I understand my situation is probably different than many, but I had a line on Verizon I wanted to upgrade, so I chose the LG Stylo 4 Unlocked Version through Best Buy, it is currently $160 if you activate while ordering.

So it may not fit the bill for others, but works for me since I wanted to upgrade a VZW line.

Not thread crapping, just pointing out there is a cheaper deal if you are ready to have it activated when you order for an existing line.

T-Mobile users: this phone lacks band 71. Last week, I travelled around Northern CA with a new phone with band 71. The improvement is massive. My new phone is a dual sim phone and I get more usable signal with tmo than vzw. Did the same trip 2 months ago with the S8+ and the tmo signal wasn't this good.

The bottleneck is likely the old (2017) snapdragon 450 cpu. That is a big factor holding me back from buying this for my parents. It has really weak benchmarks especially for gaming.

I get that there had to be compromises making a phone with these features/size and at this price but at almost $200 after tax... doubt this would last more than 1 year due to gradual slowdown.

Seems like it's about the same specs as the Motorola G6. Slightly bigger battery and screen though.

For anyone who has one, can you comment on how well the GPS works?

I assume you meant the Onetouch 6T since it was first to come out with band 71 or so I'm told?

Yes, I have the t-mobile 6T with international firmware and modded sim tray to support dual sim.

Can get 4 at metro for about this cost (I've been quoted $180-210 with port 1# per phone and 4 lines for $100) and then around $10 unlock code from what i see. Just saying if you want to do the work. I guess the port #s run around $8 a pop, tho I paid for 1 and got 5 from a seller promising 1hr delivery and didn't deliver til the next day.

True but the Metro version only has 2 gb of ram vs 3 on this model.

I bought this phone for my father and my in-laws. I've been very impressed (and I'm normally one to carry flagship-level phones).

The battery life is absolutely insane.

@Madman999 ... the GPS is fine. Good enough that I was able to wean my 74-year old dad away from a traditional GPS and into Google Navigation.

No, its probably not a gaming phone. But I dont know too many $175 phones that ARE gaming phones.
