For the money imo
Trn v80 > * 25$-35$
Um1 has a single ba driver so I'm sure it's lacking in bass.
Trn v80 has 2 ba and 2 traditional dynamic drivers for clear highs and strong bass too

The TRN v80 is very harsh and sibilant to me. The UM-1 is much better balanced, if lacking in bass. For me, the best IEM at this price is the Monoprice XXX.

These do indeed lack bass. My wife uses them on stage for vocal monitoring and they're ok for that. The big reason she loves them is how small they are. That tiny single BA driver makes for a small ear piece. I have a pair of KZ ZS5 that sound infinitely better for the same price but are way way less comfortable.

I have only had it sound a bit harsh on a few songs at higher volume, otherwise very good earphones. The t2 are great also and the kz as10 and kz zsa, but I also use foam tips for comfort. I have been ordering them from Aliexpress. Much more comfortable for my ears.

also ordering the kz and trn from Aliexpress due to the price being better...

I bought these in the last November deal. Very disappointed with the sound quality for this price. As others have mentioned, there are better options for less money. First time I've been dissatisfied with a Westone product. Their higher end models sound amazing.

Can anyone recommend a good one with a mic? I was looking at the w10. Anything better for around $100?
