If I would have known this was coming, I wouldn't have bought the "Shawbucker" model. And I don't have another $1K laying about......

Priced for $1,250 and up on reverb, and that's for a demo. New starting at $1,399...

Maybe list it for $1,200 new and see if it goes first day? Is that possible to list as new? Sorry, just tryin' to help you get the sonic gray SS of glory.

Waiting for the Elites. I got a new Elite Strat for $1200 last June and it needs a Tele brother. I want the contoured back and the locking tuners.

They had the Elite Teles on sale about a month before the Elite Strats. I made the mistake of going to GC to try the Elite Butterscotch Blonde Tele and it was OOS when I got home. Got my Elite Strat a month later and have been waiting since. The American Professional Tele with the natural finish and the rosewood fingerboard is VERY tempting though.

No, I totally like it. It's a really nice guitar, with an interesting sound. All good. First world problems...........not enough money to buy even MOAR guitars. I have an Elite Tele, so I have the "classic" Tele sound.

Thanks, but I so hate dealing with shipping and such. I'm beyond lazy. And like I mentioned in the post above, I've got an Elite Tele that is all Tele, all the time. So, I'll Shawbucker on down the road.

I would assume all American Pros come with cases. However, Adorama says nothing on their site about it.

That, and only having stock photos are the only things stopping me from pulling the trigger.

I want a rosewood board, and want it to look like a rosewood board, instead of some grenadillo monstrosity. : )

Also - they say "open box are never used guitars with damaged outside due to scuffs/etc..."

Damage to the outside of what? The guitar itself? The case? The box?

1k is a great price - but just too many things that are incomplete with the way they are listing them. : (

I picked up my elite strat today. You could tell the cardboard box it came in had been opened at some point, though the case and the guitar itself were in perfect condition.
