Here's a PC Mag review from June 2018 (6.5 months ago):

Amazon kinda goofed when they released the Tap and had to cripple it lest it undercut sales of it's more expensive Echo big brother. The portability and long batter life would've been Echo killers if they hadn't disabled voice triggering, multi-room and drop-in. Amazon later relented and re-enabled voice triggering but not until after the damage was already done. And now that Amazon has declared the Tap to be at EOL, there's certainly no going back.
But for $30?!? C'mon. This is a steal for a portable BT speaker with Alexa-enabled streaming access. I ordered one this morning, I just ordered a 2nd one because there's no telling if they'll ever be available again.
