Walmart YMMV- $99 Dell - Inspiron 2-in-1 11.6" Touch-Screen Laptop

Taking a look at Brickseek I came across this deal- supposedly some areas are as low as $49, mine (Florida) most all Walmarts seem to be discounted down to $99.

As usual (especially lately) this is YMMV so be sure to use Brickseek to get an idea for current inventory and current discount. And for those interested in this: may the odds be in your favor you find an employee willing to assist.

I use Palemoon on my low RAM laptops. It's a very light Firefox-based browser. Edge also seems to work fine, but I like Palemoon better.

Brickseek is a joke
My $139 ipad mini 4 LTE and $160 Nikkon D5100 kit from a couple years back disagree with you. What is a joke is the neckbeard in electronics who always tells you things are out of stock when those items are sitting in the back room.

I just went to walmart. Brickseed said they had 2 in stock but the store associates couldn't find it. They wouldn't even bother looking it up on the devices they said system is down Frown

In the summer I got an Acer laptop on clearance at Walmart using Brickseek. I must have gone to 7 stores which BS said they were in stock and finally got it at the last store.

BS and WM for other products for me is only 20%. Perhaps in other areas it's better.

Right now for this model 2 WM's are showing limited stock for $99 which means I'm not even going to waste gas.

Does this laptop come with Microsoft office suite ? I am looking for a laptop to primarily use word, power point and excel applications
If you don't want to pay for Office Suite there are options out there-- Open Office being a major player--where you can use word, excel equivalents (I haven't used their version of PowerPoint). Don't expect latest and greatest features but they will get the job done for you.

That's always the case. Isn't it? You get the item at the last store you visit

Only 4gb ram? You can probably only run 4 tabs of Chrome
I mean you could easily run ChromeOS on this using Neverware. It would be excellent for that at the least. Then again Windows should work pretty well. I've used a Intel Atom on a Surface 3 with tons of tabs open, Microsoft Office and outlook open as well. It was able to handle it for the most part

The joke is that they have a premium pay option.
The real joke is Walmart employees. Just about almost every store I go to and cannot find the item I'm looking for in the aisle; I've as for their assistance and they plan out just say we are out of stock. They never bother to take the effort to help look, even if I show them the website that says this item is available at this location and only can be purchased in-store.

good price. but this gets very slow when it gets crowded with open windows\programs. This is one of those that you will use for a week and then forget about it after.
For $99 I would use it as a streaming box, no? With Windows 10 it would be a good deal in my eyes.

One thing you can do is to use firefox. But then install something call "no-script" firefox addon.

The no-scripts will block websites running scripts, you can manually enable scritps that you know is safe.

That will make browsing a lot faster and safer.

Again, first install the firefox... Then google "no-scripts firefox addon". You should see a link to firefox addon. Add the "no-scripts" to your firefox and then start browsing. Most of the website will not be the same but you can enable the scripts manually.
